My Lil Princess Birthday

30th October 2013 genap my lil princess (Liya) 4 tahun. Sebalum ni x pernah celebrate birthday untuk dia pun..So sabtu lepas kami buat majlis kecil-kecilan untuk celebrate birthday Liya. Hanya buat jamuan petang bersama close family.

Ni pertama kali Hana cuba buat rainbow cake, resepi ni Hana dapat dari Suraya (my best frens). Thank you Su, ramai yg puji kek tu sedap...sampai ade yg x percaya Hana buat sendiri kek tu...lolz...Tadaa ni la hasilnya..




Si Adam (baju biru) yang sibuk2 nak potong birthday kek, happy sangat macam la celebrate birthday utk dia...hahahha...tengok tu dia yg duk mengadap depan kek..sampai muncung muka birthday girl.




Jom kita layan resepi kek rainbow ni (x sempat nak translate to Malay version)... 




Ingredients :

250 g lightly salted butter, at room temperature, plus extra for greasing
200 g caster sugar
4 medium eggs
1 1/2 tsp finely grated orange zest
250 g self raising flour (or cake flour + 1 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp of baking soda)
40 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
45 ml buttermilk (1/4 milk + 1/4 tbsp vinegar)
- combine orange juice and buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract


Method :
1.Preheat the oven to 170C. Grease and line a 22-cm clip-sided round cake with non-stick baking paper.
2.Using an electric whisk, cream the butter and sugar together for 4-5 minutes until very pale. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, beating very well between each one, if necessary adding a spoonful of flour with the last egg to prevent the mixture from curdling. Beat in the orange zest. Add the flour all at once and mix in well, then slowly mix in the orange juice & vanilla extract.
3.Divide the batter to 6 colors. Bake each colors for about 15-20 Minutes or until a skewer, inserted into the centre of the cake, comes out clean.
4.Then carefully remove the cakes to cool on wire rack. 



Untuk cream Hana guna buttercream je. Resepi yg sangat simple.

Resepi buttercream

500g creamwell
250g shortening
100ml air gula* (cara buat air gula - 300g + 100ml air + 2tsp lemon. Masak gula & air. Bla sejuk masuk lemon) atau nak senang boleh beli golden syrup.

- Pukul creamwell & shortening sampai kembang, masukkan air gula.  Then pandai2 la letak pewarna & deco kek korg ikut kreativiti masing2.
